Do I need a referral from my doctor to start Virta?

No referral is needed. Your Virta medical provider will become your diabetes reversal specialist and will communicate with your local medical team as needed to ensure continuity of care.

This benefit is currently being offered to those with type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, and/or a BMI of 27 or greater.
