Instructions
- In a medium pot of boiling water, blanch the basil for 15 seconds.
- Drain and transfer to paper towels to dry well.
- Transfer the blanched basil to a food processor.
- Add 2 tablespoons of oil and puree.
- Transfer to a contained with a lid, add the garlic, and the remaining oil. Stir to combine.
- Cover and refrigerate for 1 day.
- Strain through a fine-mesh sieve, pressing on the basil to extract as much oil as possible.
- Pour into a jar or a container with a lid. Store until ready to use.
